- he's loyal to those he loves
- in fact, he will do whatever is necessary to ensure his friend's/family's safety
- but yet he's real big on self-preservation
- he reacts to danger with either excitement or terror
- he's full of contradictions
- like he's impulsive to a fault, but he also researches and observes his surroundings
- he's fascinated with morbidity up until he's face-to-face with said morbid subjects (i.e. cutting off derek's arm)
- he's a total asshole, albeit a funny asshole, but still an asshole nonetheless
- i mean it, stiles stilinski is kind of a dick
- and the best part is that he doesn't have special weapons training or magical powers (/weeps) or supernatural ties or genius level intellect, but he does have natural intuition and he uses that to keep him and his friends alive
- cause in the end, that's all a lot of us would have to work with if we were in stiles' shoes.
for those out there who think they would be so noble and so courageous and self-sacrificing in the face of a life or death situation, keep on dreaming because stiles is exactly what at least 99.99999% would turn into.
he quite literally is the human of the group, meaning that he is the most realistic depiction of humanity we have on teen wolf. his humanity is both what makes him unbearably average and remarkably special at the same time.
